Microsoft Azure Web PubSub service helps you to build real-time messaging web applications using WebSockets and the publish-subscribe pattern.

In OutSystems Azure Web PubSub is useful whenever there is need that your backend (e.g. a business process) needs to communicate with your frontend users. For example, notify your frontend users that data has changed and perform a refresh data on specific screens.

Our Azure Web PubSub components allow easy integration of Azure Web PubSub service into your applications.

• Azure Web PubSub Connector - This component exposes a set of server actions to be used by your backend. With this connector your backend can send messages to all or some connected clients. It also exposes a specific server action to create a connection url for your frontend application including an access token.
• Azure Web PubSub Websocket - This library contains a widget block to be used in your frontend. It connects to a Azure Web PubSub endpoint url which is retrieved using the Azure Web PubSub connector and listens to fires events on incoming messages.
